Essex OPP say six additional counts of sexual related offences have been laid against the former fire chief of Kingsville, Ont. in connection to an ongoing police investigation that began last month.
Robert Kissner, 60, appeared in Windsor court on Thursday and was formally charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of sexual exploitation, and a count of sexual interference, police said Friday.
Police say Kissner has been released on his own recognizance and will appear in court at a future date to answer to the additional charges.
It was on Dec. 10 when Essex OPP said they were called to investigate allegations of sexual assault against a minor. The next day, police announced they had laid two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual exploitation against Kissner in relation to the probe.
The additional counts Thursday relate to three additional victims, police said.
No further information has been released by police.
Kissner, also known as Bob Kissner Jr., was with the Kingsville Fire Department for a little over 40 years.
Police say anyone who may have information related to the incident is asked to contact Essex OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIP (8477).
