If you’re looking for ways to entertain the kids during the holiday break, the City of London has teamed up with Tim Horton’s to offer some holiday skates.
Arenas across the city will be hosting free public skating at the following arenas:
December 28th – Silverwood 3:30pm – 4:45pm
December 29th – Stronach 12:00pm – 2:00pm
December 29th – Lambeth 4:00pm – 4:45pm
December 30th – Medway 11:30am – 1:30pm
December 30th – Farquharson 11:30am – 1:30pm
December 30th – Kinsmen 6:00pm – 8:00pm
December 30th – Argyle 8:00pm – 9:45pm
January 1st – Storybook Skating Trail 10:00am – 12:00pm
January 2nd – Carling 10:30am – 12:30pm
January 3rd – Argyle 3:00pm – 5:00pm
January 4th – Nichols 3:00pm – 5:00pm
January 4th – Glen Cairn 3:30pm – 4:45pm
January 4th – Oakridge 3:30pm – 4:45pm

The Western Fair District is hosting free skating on December 30th from 1pm to 3pm at the Sports Centre, 865 Florence Street. Organizers say everyone can bring their skates, and helmets are required for those under 18 years old.
Victoria Park will also be open for free skating every day from 10am to 10pm, with resurfacing between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. There are $7 Skate rentals and $6 skate sharpening available 5pm to 10pm weekdays, and noon to 10pm on weekends.
The Covent Garden Market has free public skating Monday to Thursday and Saturday from 8am to 6pm, Friday from 8am to 7pm, and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.
According to the City, Children (5 and under) must wear a CSA approved helmet for all public skating programs, a full face cage is recommended.
