Students in the London region who take the bus to school will either have to find a different way to class or they’ll have a day off.
Officials with MyBigYellowBus.ca announced shortly before 6 a.m. Monday that all school purpose vehicles in the City of London as well as in Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford Counties were cancelled for the day.
The website is the mouthpiece for Southwestern Ontario Student Transportation Services, a transportation consortium for the London District Catholic School Board and the Thames Valley District School Board for the above areas.
Schools in the LDCSB and TVDSB will remain open Monday for students who can get there safely. Western University and Fanshawe College will also remain open.
Mother Nature is believed to have dumped about 21cm of heavy, wet snow on London and the surrounding area from Sunday morning through to Monday morning.
