As the holiday season kicks into high gear, local businesses are being asked to help those who need it most in the community.
The 17th edition of the Business Cares Food Drive is underway.
Officials are hoping to raise over 316,000 pounds of food, surpassing last year’s collection total of 307,800 pounds.
With food bank usage up 12% over last year, organizer Wayne Dunn says the demand is as great as ever.
There are plenty of places businesses can drop off their donations including any RBC Bank location or YMCA branch.
