A 28-year-old London man is facing several drugs and weapons charges in connection to an investigation this week by London Police.
Officers executed a search warrant at a Simcoe Street address around 3:27 p.m. Wednesday after receiving information about a possible firearm inside the building. During the search, two male parties were detained, but no firearm was located.
Police say further investigation led to the arrest of a male in the area of Richmond Street and King Street around 4:22 p.m. The male was taken into custody in relation to the Simcoe Street address, police said.
Officers searched the male and located an unloaded .22 calibre revolver and 4 rounds of .22 calibre ammunition concealed down his pants. During the search, officers also located a throwing knife, a small amount of currency, and a quantity of drugs including hydromorph, oxycocet, morphine, and methamphetamine, police said.
Twelve Criminal Code Charges have been laid against a 28-year-old London man. The charges laid were related to the firearm, breaching a recognizance, and possession for the purpose of trafficking, police said.
