After first saying they believed the circumstances surrounding a young woman’s death were suspicious, Oxford County OPP now say they do not suspect foul play.
The body of 31-year-old Jessica Rowe of Blanford Blenheim Township was found in a vehicle on the side of Canning Road on August 6th of this year.
Days after her body was discovered, officers said they were treating Rowe’s death as suspicious and they even set up a dedicated phone line for members of the public to call in information related to the investigation.
Then on Tuesday, October 18th, more than two months after her death, the OPP announced evidence obtained as a result of the post-mortem lead them to rule out foul play in connection with the incident.
Rowe’s father Colin spoke with AM980 in the days after his daughter’s passing in August and said her death was a devastating loss to her son and fiancé.
“She was always the life of the room, her big smile, huge hearty laugh. No matter where she went, she brightened up a room,” he said. “She was a phenomenal mom, and her little guy is just three weeks away from his first birthday, and she was only two weeks away from her birthday, and only a month away from their wedding.”
