Downtown London traffic will be taking a back seat for the next couple of nights on Dundas.
The street from Wellington to Ridout will be filled with music, art food and fun for the 7th annual Dundas Street Festival.
The kick-off party will be held at 8:30 Friday evening at Hassan Law Community Gallery; admission is $10.
On Saturday, starting at noon until 11 at night, festival Director Aaron McMillan tells AM980 music will fill the air.
“There’s two free music stages happening. One at Fanshawe at the downtown campus and one at the Impark lot with the big, glorious octopus on the side of the wall which is at 195 Dundas St. So, two music stages featuring a diverse range of music from rock, blues, hip hop, electronic, and DJs. There’s also artist installations all the way down the street,” says McMillan.
“There’s also on the block there’s food vendors, artisans, crafters, and also programming geared towards children to teach them about cycling on the road. There’s a bunch of things going on.”
An after party is also planned for Saturday night.
