Chatham-Kent OPP are reporting that a 60-year-old Chatham man involved in a collision with an ambulance has not died from his injuries.
Authourities responded to a two vehicle head-on collision on Highway 40 near Green Valley Line around 10:30 a.m. on Friday.
Police stated that both vehicles were only occupied by the drivers.
The driver of the minivan was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries while the driver of the ambulance suffered non-life threatening injuries.
OPP received information that 60-year-old Geoffrey Brereton of Chatham had died in hospital around 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Police have announced that the information was incorrect and that Brereton remains in critical condition.
Officials stated that they regret any inconvenience the information may have caused.
