Oxford OPP will not be laying any charges following a crash in Ingersoll that sent a young cyclist to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Thursday, police confirmed no charges will be laid and added that the victim remains in critical condition.
The update comes a day after police appealed to the public for help identifying the girl, who was described as having shoulder length dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, approximately 130 lbs., and approximately 13 years of age.
She was struck by a pickup just after 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wellington St. and Concession St. near Memorial Park.
Police now say the investigation revealed the cyclist was heading westbound on Concession St. and the pickup was going southbound on Wellington St. when the crash occurred.
The victim has since been identified and her family has been notified but her name has not been released.
