Anyone counting down the hours until they see the Tragically Hip perform in London will have to add an extra 90 minutes.
On Thursday, Budweiser Gardens announced the August 8th show will begin at 8:30 p.m. rather than the previously announced 7 p.m., however there will be no opener. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
For anyone still hoping to get tickets, the Hip announced at the end of July that for each show on their tour, 50 winners will be selected through a lottery and allowed to buy a pair of tickets on the day of the show.
Tickets have been highly sought after since the band announced that the tour would be their last. The Hip’s lead singer, Gord Downie, has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer but has been cleared to do a final tour this summer.
Any fans who can’t get tickets will be able to watch the band’s final performance from Kingston at the London Music Hall.
