A 52-year old Middlesex County woman has been killed in a head-on vehicle collision west of London.
The crash took place Monday afternoon on Glendon Dr. west of Thames Rd., between Mount Brydges and Glencoe. The woman was travelling westbound in a black Ford car in the eastbound lane, hitting an eastbound silver Ford SUV.
The driver and passenger of the SUV were transported to hospital–one by ambulance and the other by air transportation–with suspicion of life-threatening injuries. They have since been downgraded to non-life-threatening.
The scene was secured by members of the Southwest Middlesex Fire Department, the OPP and Middlesex London EMS. The OPP’s collision investigation unit is looking for the cause of the collision.
The name of the deceased has not yet been released, pending notification of family.
Glendon Dr. is closed between Thames Rd. and McArthur Dr.
