Residents and organizations that call London’s east end home are invited to come together to envision an ideal future for their community.
London’s East End Committee is hosting a summit to allow community stakeholders to talk about their insights on the specific challenges the area faces, as well as share their ideas for possible solutions.
The event looks to bridge the gap between neighbourhood organizations, residents, and businesses.
“Our city is as strong as its weakest link,” the East End Committee said in a statement. “A convergence of neighbourhood advocates in solidarity around uplifting our community is what East London needs at this unique juncture in history.”
The summit will have five keynote speakers who will each present their expert opinions on issues including Food, Housing, Educations, Arts and Culture, and Community Development.
The London Institute will then compile the information gathered during the session into an official report.
The East End Summit will be held Thursday, July 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the BMO Centre.
Admission is free and all are welcome.
