A Masters champion is visiting the Forest City on Monday.
Mike Weir will be at the Sunningdale Golf & Country Club at 9:30a.m. to give golfers tips to improve their game.
Weir is in London as part of the 10th Annual Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids.
In addition to nine holes of golf, players can participate in high energy activities at many of the holes, including closest to the giant teddy bear, driving a giant marshmallow off a tee and using hockey gloves and a hockey stick to putt.
Since it was created in 2007, Weir’s charity has raised over $5 million.
The campaign supports children’s hospitals across Canada.
This year’s event raises funds for pediatric health care at the Children’s Hospital here in London, with a portion of funds raised designated to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Care Program.
Weir, who won the Masters back in 2003, is the only Canadian to ever win the event.
In 2009, Weir became an inductee into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame.
