A woman and two children were rushed to hospital early Saturday morning after a serious single-vehicle collision north of Thamesford.
Oxford County OPP, Oxford and Middlesex EMS, and Embro Fire were called to Highway 19, south of Road 74 at around 12:25 a.m. to a report of a vehicle that struck a tree.
Police say the vehicle was travelling north on Highway 19 when it swerved, entered the east ditch, and struck a tree. As a result, one child passenger suffered life-threatening injuries, the female driver suffered injuries considered serious, and another child was transported to hospital as a precaution.
The name of the driver has not been released.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators have been called to the scene to determine what cause the crash.
Police have not said whether charges are pending.
Highway 19 remains closed between Road 74 and McCarty Street as the investigation continues.
