A little more than 12 hours before Western University and the union representing its campus police officers would have been in a legal position for labour action, the two sides have reached a tentative agreement.
Shortly before 10 a.m. Friday the Western officials released a statement saying they’d come to an agreement with OPSEU Local 102, but the details wouldn’t be released until workers and the university’s Board of Governors ratified the document. Just when those votes will take place hasn’t been specified.
Westerns 12 campus police officers had been without a contract since June 30th, 2015.
More information to come.
