London Police are looking for information pertaining to an overnight break and enter Tuesday at a business complex on Elizabeth Street near McMahen Park.
Investigators say an unspecified number of suspects broke into the complex, located between the Park and Carling Heights Community Centre, sometime overnight on Tuesday, and caused a considerable amount of damage to the building’s interior and exterior.
“As a result of the damage, asbestos within the building was disturbed,” said a police media release Friday. “City officials have closed off the building and are in the process of removing the asbestos. There has been no one reported to have been contaminated.”
The complex houses local businesses including Block Parent, City Art Centre, and Frontier College.
No further information has been released, and police say they are looking for the public’s help identifying the person or persons responsible for the break and enter.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 519-661-5670, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
