Target Canada will open 17 new locations, including two in London, at 8 a.m. Tuesday.
The locations at Westmount Shopping Centre and Masonville Place cover two storeys.
Stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Each London location employs approximately 200 people, according to a Target spokesperson.
"We do comp-shopping on over 20,000 items to make sure that we're in line with competitors, so we haven't modeled it after the U.S., we've modeled the business model after Canada," said Target Canada Marketing Director Livia Zufferli. "Some prices, just given the economic environment, some will be different in Canada. Some will be higher. Some will be the same."
Target opened three pilot stores in Ontario on March 5, at Stone Road in Guelph, Milton Mall Shopping Centre in Milton and Gates of Fergus in Fergus.
Target plans to open 124 stores across Canada in 2013.
"That is our goal to bring that experience up to Canada," Zufferli said of the shopping atmosphere at the store. "In some cases where we have smaller footprints we have to make some decisions, but really it's about bringing those most popular brands that we know our guests have loved in the U.S. here."
It will open 24 in Ontario in March.
Other stores opening tomorrow are: Ajax - Durham Centre, Aurora - Aurora Shopping Centre, Brampton - Shoppers World Brampton, Burlington - Millcroft Centre, Cambridge - Cambridge Centre, Etobicoke - Cloverdale Mall, Hamilton - Centre Mall, Lindsay - Lindsay Square Mall, Newmarket - Upper Canada Mall, Orillia - Orillia Square Mall, Toronto - Centrepoint Mall, Toronto - East York Town Centre, Waterdown - Flamborough Power Centre, Whitby - Taunton Road Power Centre, Windsor - Devonshire Mall.
