It's fitting Penn State University is located in “Happy Valley” because in the wake of Joe Paterno's death his supporters are putting on a happy face to protect his legacy.
Paterno passed away on Sunday at the age of 85 following a bout with lung cancer but the JoePa legend died months ago.
It died when it was revealed he was told one of his assistants was seen in the showers with a young boy in 2002 and he didn't go to the police.
The need to protect the legacy of "JoePa," a man viewed as a saint by many, wouldn't be necessary if the man himself had done the right thing back in 2002.
The fact he was embroiled in a scandal that has now tarnished his legacy is his own fault.
Paterno failed his moral obligation to go to police when he was alerted to the alleged actions ...
