A London-female was rescued after falling 12 metres down an embankment along the Thames River in city's west end. Emergency workers were called to the riverbank behind the Child and Parent Resource Institute on Sanatorium Rd. Saturday around 5 p.m. District Fire Chief Shawn Fitzgerald says firefighters rappelled down the embankment and loaded the woman onto a rescue basket, raising her up using ropes and rigging.
