The Ontario Provincial Police has put out a call to the public for help locating a federal offender.
Matthew Barges, 32, is wanted on a federal warrant for a litany of crimes, including armed robbery, failure to comply with recognizance conditions and impaired driving, for which he is serving a two-year sentence.
Police say Barges is known to frequent the Kitchener, Waterloo and Guelph areas.
The offender is described as white, 5’8″, 126 pounds, with a distinctive scar on his forehead.
The OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) unit is asking anyone with information about Barges’ whereabouts to contact police at 1-866-870-ROPE (7673) or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
