The London Fire Marshall has been called in to investigate what sparked a house fire in a south London neighbourhood Monday afternoon.
Fire crews were called to a two-storey home at 675 Country Club Drive at around 4:20 p.m. after recieving multiple 911 calls from neighbours.
When they arrived on scene, heavy smoke and flames could be seen coming from the back of the home.
Firefighters were able to quickly get the blaze under control, but the fire caused an estimated $600,000 in damage. Officials say the contents of the home are a complete loss.
The siding of one of the neighbouring homes was damaged from the heat.
Thankfully, there were no injuries reported.
Officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation and the Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in.
