One year after she first disappeared, London Police have set up a tip line to help aid their search of 42-year-old Shelley Joy Desrochers.
Officials announced the creation of the tip line, which can be called by dialing 519-660-5842, in a media release on Monday – exactly one year to the day of Desrochers’ disappearance.
Desrochers was said to have been last seen in the area of Ernest Avenue and Bradley Avenue around 2 p.m. on January 2nd, 2016. She was first reported missing to police on January 21st.
After investigation, police said they believed Desrochers was actually last seen on foot in the area of Hamilton Road and Rectory Street around 10 a.m. on or about January 5th. Police said investigators became concerned for her welfare after she failed to access a bank account as anticipated on Jan. 29.
As of February, police officials said members of the Criminal Investigations Division had devoted in excess of 1,000 hours investigating Desrochers’ disappearance.
Desrochers is described as white, five-foot-two, 141 pounds, with straight, long brown hair, a tattoo of a rose on her left upper arm and another of a heart on her right upper arm. She also has a distinctive walking style, described as “pigeon-toed” by police.
Anyone with information to provide is asked to contact the tip line at 519-660-5842 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
