Police are on scene and a section of Perth Rd. 163 is closed following a collision northwest of St. Marys that sent one driver to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The OPP says that its officers, and Perth County paramedics and fire fighters, responded to a two-car collision Tuesday afternoon, between Line 8 and Line 10.
The crash occurred, police say, when a Chevrolet compact was traveling southbound on Perth Rd. 163 and the male driver lost control of the vehicle, veering into the path of a northbound Ford pick-up truck.
The truck driver was released from the scene after treatment for minor injuries. The Chevrolet driver was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit has been dispatched to assist with the investigation.
