London Police say several people have been arrested in connection to deadly stabbing overnight at an east London banquet hall.
Details remain limited, but investigators say police were called to Imperio Banquet Hall on Falcon Street shortly after midnight following reports of a disturbance.
At the scene, officers located a 26-year-old male who was unresponsive. The man had apparent stab wounds and was taken to hospital by paramedics where he was pronounced deceased, police said.
The London Police Major Crime Section is now probing the homicide, the city’s fourth of 2016.
According to police, several people at the scene were arrested and taken into custody.
Several police vehicles could be seen outside the banquet hall late Sunday morning.
No further information has been released, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
