Fire officials are investigating after fire broke out inside a vacant house in Old North Tuesday morning.
Emergency crews were called to a house at 1057 Richmond Street, just north of Victoria Street, at around 2:52 a.m. to reports of a fire.
Upon arrival, smoke could be seen coming from the second floor of the two-storey building.
Fire crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire, and no injuries were reported.
The house was reported to be vacant at the time, a fire official says the home may have been under renovation.
Damage is pegged at up $70,000.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, there is no word on whether the fire is being treated as suspicious.
