Essex OPP say charges have been laid against the 60-year-old fire chief of Kingsville, Ont. in connection to an investigation into allegations of sexual assault against a minor.
Details are limited, but police say members of the Essex OPP Major Crime Unit were called in to probe the allegations on Saturday.
As a result of the investigation, Robert Kissner, 60, of Kingsville was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault and two counts of sexual exploitation, police said Sunday.
In a release, police said Kissner would attend a bail hearing before a judge on Sunday and would appear in a Windsor court at a later date to answer to the charges.
No further information has been released by police.
Kissner, also known as Bob Kissner Jr., has been with the Kingsville Fire Department for a little over 40 years.
