Overnight parking passes for London streets have been cancelled this weekend due to the anticipated snowfall.
The City announced it was closing the online pass registry Thursday afternoon because of the impending snowy weather, and it wouldn’t reopen this weekend.
According to the Overnight Parking Pass website, “Overnight Parking on City streets is NOT permitted at this time due to Winter Forecast. Winter Operations may need to access City streets to plow snow. Overnight parking passes issued in advance are not valid. Parking Enforcement will occur and vehicles are subject to fines. You may check this site at a later time to determine when the overnight parking ban has been lifted. Thank you.”
Any passes that were already reserved are no longer valid, so if you leave your car on the street overnight you could be fined.
City officials say snow removal crews need streets to be clear, so vehicles will have to be off the roadways.
