Canadian professional wrestling legend Bret “The Hitman” Hart is the latest guest to be named as part of next February’s London Sports Celebrity Dinner & Auction.
Hart made his professional debut for Stampede Wrestling in 1978 and became one of the most recognizable professional wrestlers in the world during his 22-year career.
“I am really looking forward to attending the London Sports Celebrity Dinner and Auction”, says Hart.
“As a Canadian, I love to support as many causes as I can across the country. Having spent so many years entertaining all over the world I am happy to be at events like this to meet fans and to tell my story both inside and out of the ring.”
Also announced Tuesday, organizers confirmed Sportsnet broadcasters Jackie Redmond and Caroline Cameron as the masters of ceremonies.
“I proudly called London home for four years and I can’t wait to come back,” says Cameron.
“I look forward to an exciting night spent celebrating the best of London sports.”
Hart, Cameron, and Redmond join previously announced Toronto Blue Jays legend Roberto Alomar as the stars of the February 13th event.
More announcements about the 2017 lineup are expected next week.
Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased online with dinner tickets $150 each of $1,200 for a table of eight. Bleacher seats in the Agriplex are $20 and do not include dinner.
Guests can also enjoy silent and live auctions of sports memorabilia, event packages, and other prizes up for grabs.
The event supports the Thames Valley Children’s Centre.
