Norfolk County OPP have identified a 68-year-old woman killed in a motor vehicle collision in Delhi, Ontario.
OPP and Norfolk County Paramedics responded to a collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Main Street and King Street around 7:36 p.m. on Thursday.
Officials stated that Nancy Chartrand was walking northbound on the sidewalk and was struck by a pickup truck while crossing the intersection. She suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local area hospital for treatment.
According to police, Chartrand was transferred to a Hamilton hospital for further treatment and was pronounced deceased by the attending physician.
The driver of the truck, a 44-year-old male of Kingston, Jamaica did not suffer any injuries.
Police say the investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
