Police say a 48-year old Norfolk County woman has “landed in hot water” after throwing a cup of hot tea at an OPP officer who pulled her over for road racing.
Officers with the OPP’s Brant division say the woman was pulled over on Blossom Ave. in Brant County after being clocked going three times the speed limit, last Friday afternoon.
According to an OPP release, a grey 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo was travelling thrice the posted limit of 40 km/h.
During the stop, police allege the officer was hit with the “full cop of hot tea.”
Veronica Ferguson, 48, has been charged with assaulting a police officer, and road racing.
