Middlesex County OPP have laid charges against a 23-year-old Sarnia man in connection to a multi-vehicle collision just outside of London earlier this month.
Officers responded to a collision involving three vehicles on Highway 401 heading westbound near Wellington Road around 1 p.m. on November 5th.
Officials stated that a blue Mazda car struck two other vehicles. No injuries were reported from the incident.
Officers determined that the driver of the Mazda car was in possession of a controlled substance, and he was placed under arrest.
As a result of the police investigation, Alexander Bannon has been charged with:
- Possession of a schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking – over 3kg
- Possession of a schedule I substance – other drugs, contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).
- Careless driving, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
Bannon is scheduled to answer the charges before a London court.
