London Police are continuing to investigate a shooting in the downtown core early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting on Richmond St. at Carling St. at approximately 1:30 a.m.
Evidence at the scene indicated that several shots had been fired from a firearm and that “public safety was jeopardized by the individual or people responsible,” police said in a release.
Blood was discovered at the scene however no victims were at the scene upon police arrival, officials said, adding that no arrests have been made and no weapon has been recovered.
The scene was examined by members of the Forensic Identification Section and has since been released.
