South Bruce OPP are appealing for tips from the public after a vehicle was recovered from the waters of Lake Huron on Wednesday, along with the body of a woman.
The vehicle was found roughly 24 hours after witnesses saw it drive off the north pier of the Kincardine Harbour.
Police received a report on Tuesday afternoon at 3:53 p.m of a vehicle entering the lake after driving off the pier.
Several emergency crews responded to the scene including the OPP, Bruce County paramedics, and firefighters from Kincardine and Saugeen Shores.
Boats scoured the water until dark, and the search was resumed Wednesday.
The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit, along with the South Bruce OPP Marine Unit, located the vehicle, and it was removed from the water by a local crane at 2:54 p.m.
The deceased body of a 67-year-old Kincardine woman was also recovered from the water. Foul play is not suspected.
