London Police say they are continuing to investigate an alleged sexual assault in the city’s northwest end Tuesday, and are turning to the public for help identifying a Good Samaritan in the case.
Investigators say a lone woman was jogging along the trail system behind Acorn Crescent and Edgehill Crescent when she was allegedly grabbed and assaulted by an unknown person between 7 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. The suspect has been described as a male who was possibly wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
Police say the woman suffered minor injuries in the incident, and received assistance at the scene by an unknown man who officials are now trying to identify. The individual is described as a white male in his 50s, 5-foot-9, with brown and grey mixed hair that is collar length. He was wearing blue jeans and was carrying a white plastic bag.
