Oxford OPP have charged a London truck driver a day after a three-vehicle crash snarled traffic along the westbound Hwy. 401 in the Woodstock area for over nine hours.
Emergency crews responded to a crash involving a tractor trailer, a car, and a minivan on the 401 near Foldens Line at around 4 a.m. Thursday.
OPP say a tractor trailer was on its side and block all lanes of the highway. Investigators say roughly 450 gallons or over 1700 litres of disel oil spilled from the transport.
Police say the drivers of all three vehicles were transported to hospital; the driver of the minivan is believed to have suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, 49 year old Rober Fulton of London was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with careless driving.
