William Shatner is about to boldly step up to help raise funds for a local health foundation.
The Canadian actor is the special guest at St. Joseph’s Tribute Dinner Tuesday night, an annual fundraiser to support the St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation in London.
Shatner will perform his one-man broadway show Shatner’s World: We Just Live In It.
“I want them to laugh a lot,” said Shatner in an interview on AM980 in September.
“The show’s very funny, there’s a lot of laughter, and at the end of the evening there’s this enthusiasm. I have connected with the audience the way you and I are connecting now. There becomes an intimacy, and they’re there and I’m there, and it’s a very moving experience, but it’s a very funny show.”
Tribute enables the foundation to invest in health care innovation and discovery at St. Joseph’s that the organization says would otherwise not be possible. It is one of the largest events of its kind in the London region.
Tuesday night’s sold out dinner will be held at the London Convention Centre.
