The OPP say they were kept very busy over the Thanksgiving long weekend.
According to figures released Wednesday, seven people were killed in five separate crashes on OPP-patrolled roads over the holiday weekend.
Provincial police say they have not seen a fatality-free Thanksgiving weekend since 2009.
More than 5,500 speeding charges were laid over the weekend, along with close to 245 distracted driving and about 140 impaired driving charges.
More than 500 people were fined for not using a seat belt.
