A charge has been laid after a driver was caught travelling over 50 kilometres an hour above the posted speed limit in London.
Middlesex OPP say they spotted a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on the 401, near Highbury Ave, Tuesday evening at around 10:14p.m.
Police pulled over the black Toyota car, which was measured to be travelling at 153 kilometres per hour (km/h) in the 100 km/h zone.
As a result of the police investigation, a 26-year-old female from Thornhill has been charged with race a motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
Her vehicle was seized, and her driver’s licence was suspended for 7 days.
