London Police are continuing their search for a pair of suspects following an incident over the weekend in the city’s east end involving gunshots and a broken window.
Officers were called to the scene in the 200-block-area of Marconi Blvd., just south of Trafalgar St., around 3:47 a.m. Sunday for reports of “two or three loud noises that sounded like gunshots,” police said.
Witnesses told police that several people had gathered in the area prior to the suspected gunshots. By the time officers arrived on scene moments later, no persons were present.
During a search of the area, police discovered that the basement window of a home located close to where the group had been standing had been broken by at least one gunshot.
Police have since released two suspect descriptions for persons believed to have been involved in discharging the firearm.
The first suspect is described as a white 20-30-year-old male with short hair and a goatee, wearing a dark baseball cap, a black and red sweater, and dark blue jeans.
The second suspect is described as a white male wearing a baseball cap, a black and red sweater with a logo on the front, black track pants, and white shoes.
The two reportedly left the area in a dark coloured vehicle, police said.
The investigation remains in its early stages, and police ask anyone with information to contact them at 519-661-5670, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
