WATCH: The suspected beer tosser at the Blue Jays – Orioles wild card game turned himself into Toronto Police on Thursday night. Ken Pagan didn’t answer any questions, but his lawyer said he was charged with one count of mischief.
Toronto police say that the man who allegedly threw a beer can on the field during Tuesday’s wildcard game at Rogers Centre was formally charged Thursday night.
The incident happened during the Blue Jays game against the Baltimore Orioles when Jays pinch hitter Melvin Upton Jr. flied out to deep left field.
Pagan told The Sun police may have the incident wrong, but declined to speak directly to the allegation on the advice of his lawyer. He added there were Twitter photos showing a cup in his hand after the can was thrown.
