London Police are still looking for three suspects following last week’s home invasion in the south end of the city.
Over the weekend, police identified and charged two of the suspects — even though they only arrested one of them. 23-year-old Elias Akhi was arrested in Guelph on Saturday and charged with forcible entry, robbery, and kidnapping, in addition to a number of other related offences, including firearms offences. He’s scheduled to make a court appearance in London on Monday.
29-year-old Jezreel Moxam of Hamilton (pictured, left) has also been charged, but remains at large. He’s described as a black male, 5’11” tall, weighing approximately 218lbs. He has black hair tied in cornrow-style braids.
According to London Police, two men – armed with handguns – forced their way into a home on White Oak Road just before 11 p.m. on Wednesday. The two demanded valuables from the occupants inside. One of the men at the residence sustained minor injuries and a woman was taken from the home but released, unhurt, a short time later. Police say two children, two men, and one woman were in the home at the time of the robbery.
Police are still on the lookout for two other unidentified suspects — one of which they have caught on camera. The suspect (pictured, right) is described as a black male, approximately 25 years of age, 5’9″-5’10”, 180-190lbs, with long braided hair, dressed in black clothing and wearing dark-rimmed eyeglasses.
A fourth suspect, described only as a white male, is also being sought after by police.
Anyone with information in relation to this incident, or the whereabouts of these individuals, is asked to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in on-line anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
