Middlesex OPP say they’ve charged a 21-year-old woman with impaired driving after the car she was driving wound up in a cornfield.
Officers say it was shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Thursday when they responded to a call about a vehicle leaving the roadway. Investigators say they found a blue Chevrolet in a cornfield on Glendon Drive near Mayfair Drive.
Officers allege the driver had been drinking alcohol and as a result officers arrested her and brought her to the local OPP detachment for breath testing.
As a result of the investigation, the OPP says it charged a 21-year-old Zorra Township woman with a count each of Driving While Ability Impaired – Motor Vehicle (Alcohol) and driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in blood.
Officers say the woman is scheduled to appear in a London court to answer to the charges on November 10th, 2016.
