Wellington County OPP are investigating a plane crash in Puslinch Township.
Police responded to a report of a plane crash near Watson Road south around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
Officers, Guelph-Wellington EMS, Puslinch Fire Department, Guelph Fire Department and Guelph-Eramosa Fire Department attended the scene to find a badly damaged ultralight plane.
Officials stated that the lone occupant of the plane was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity is not being released until the next-of-kin have been notified.
The Transportation Safety Board, OPP Forensic Identification services and the office of the coroner are assisting with the investigation.
Watson Road south between Stone Road and Arkell Road has been re-opened to traffic. The area was closed earlier for the protection of emergency responders.
