Norfolk County OPP are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision south of Delhi.
Officers responded to a collision on Highway 3 and Fertilizer Road involving three motor vehicles around 11:41 a.m. on Sunday.
Norfolk County Fire Services and Paramedics attended the scene.
As a result of the investigation, officials determined that a green van was stopped on Highway 3 waiting to turn northbound onto Fertilizer Road.
The vehicle was struck by a white pickup truck pulling a wood chipper travelling eastbound on Highway 3.
According to police, the pickup traveled into the westbound lanes of Highway 3 and struck a black motor vehicle head on that was travelling westbound.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the black vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries. The 46-year-old female of Norfolk County was transported by air ambulance to a Hamilton area hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The 74-year-old male of Norfolk County driving the green van suffered minor injuries.
The occupants of the white pickup, a 43-year-old male driver and his 42-year-old passenger, both of Tillsonburg, did not sustain any injuries.
Technical Traffic Collision Investigators have been called in to assist with the investigation.
Police have closed Highway 3 between Pinegrove Road and Lyndoch Road. Fertilizer Road is also closed between Lyndoch Road and Windham Road 14.
Officials stated that charges are pending.
