Montrealers will mark the 10th anniversary Tuesday of the shooting at a junior college that left a young woman dead and wounded 16 other people.
On September 13th, 2006, 25-year-old Kimveer Gill used a semi-automatic rifle to shoot 72 rounds in and near Dawson College in downtown Montreal.
Six students were shot by Gill outside the school’s main doors before he entered the cafeteria and fatally shot 18-year-old Anastasia De Sousa.
Gill was struck by a police bullet before he killed himself.
Louise Hevey De Sousa, Anastasia’s mother, admits she never stops thinking of her daughter, who would now be 28 years old.
