Anyone who uses the Thames Valley Parkway between Gibbons Park and Museum London in the morning will have some company over the next week.
Members of 31 Canadian Brigade Group Headquarters, a local Army Reserve headquarters, will conduct a load bearing march in the London area next Tuesday September 13th and Friday September 16th between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m.
The brigade also conducted a march Friday September 9th.
Approximately 25 soldiers will be marching along the Thames Valley Parkway between Gibbons Park and Museum London. Members of the public may see military vehicles and soldiers dressed in combat clothing with helmets, rucksacks and tactical vests.
Soldiers will not be carrying weapons.
The soldiers are based out of Wolseley Barracks located at 701 Oxford Street East, London, ON.
The march is part of practice training for an annual fitness test required by all soldiers and involves a timed 13.2-km march while carrying a 25-kg weight load.
