Intercounty Baseball League officials are investigating after an alleged racial slur was directed at one of the London Majors during Wednesday’s IBL playoff game in Toronto.
The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Majors 8-2 in game 4, which almost wasn’t finished after the Majors left the field for 65 minutes in the middle of the 4th inning.
At the end of the top of the fourth inning, the benches cleared and there was pushing and shoving following a close play at third base between London’s LeJon Baker and Toronto’s Jonathan Solazzo.

Play resumed and the game was completed prior to the midnight curfew at Christie Pits in Toronto.
The night was capped off by Toronto reliever Adam Garner, who was ejected with two outs in the ninth inning for throwing a pitch after time was called.
Game five is set to be held Friday night at Labatt Park.
The winner of the series will face defending champion Barrie in the final.
