The city is being asked to cough up more cash to finish off the environmental assessment for London’s Rapid Transit plans.
A city staff report headed to council chambers next week, recommends IBI — the firm hired to complete the work — be paid an additional $1.6-million-dollars.
Staff say the scope of the work has changed, and now needs to include the north-east corridor.
Given IBI’s intimate involvement with the project and the good quality of work they’ve produced so far, staff recommend ponying up.
If approved, it would mean IBI would receive a total of $3.5-million-dollars, excluding HST.
Councillors will look at the report during the Civic Works Committee meeting on Monday.
