St. Thomas police have arrested one man and are looking for another in connection with a homicide investigation.
On Thursday, police charged 23 year old Corey Jolliffe of St. Thomas with first degree murder and are looking for 28 year old Sonny Daniel Cloutier (pictured) of St. Thomas who is also wanted in connection with the homicide.
The investigation began around 12:45 a.m. Thursday when police were called to the victim’s apartment unit at 337 Talbot Street to assist EMS for a medical emergency.
The victim was transported to St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital where he later died.
The St. Thomas Police Criminal Investigations branch identified the victim Thursday evening as 20 year old William “Billy” Lamers of St. Thomas.
An autopsy was performed at University Hospital in London and confirmed Lamers died as a result of ‘sharp force trauma’ sustained during a confrontation at his apartment.
Police say the victim in this case and the two suspects were known to each other.

Police say they’re not releasing further details about the victim’s injuries due to the ongoing investigation.
Jolliffe will appear by video in St. Thomas court on August 15th.
