Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for London, Parkhill, Komoka, Strathroy as well as Eastern and Western Middlesex County.
The agency states that conditions will be favorable for the development of funnel clouds.
These types of funnel clouds are generated by weak rotation under rapidly growing clouds or weak thunderstorms.
Forecasters are warning of a chance that rotation in these clouds could intensify and become a weak landspout tornado.
Environment Canada stated that landspout tornadoes do not usually cause significant damage but can still be dangerous. They can be strong enough to topple trees, damage roofs or toss debris short distances.
